Text Style

Text style option in a Powerviz word cloud allow you to change the appearance of the text used in the visual. This includes options such as font family, case type, and styling.

How to apply text style?

To get started,

  • Open the text style option using the “⚙️” advanced settings panel.

  • Select the style option you want to apply.

  • Hit apply

  • Result: Selected text style will be applied to the visual.

Three different text styles are:

Font Family

Font family option provides you with various font options that you can use to create informative visuals. The font family option provided by Powerviz word cloud is similar to Power BI.

Note: When choosing a font family, it's important to consider the tone you want to convey.

Case Type

Powerviz word cloud offer 4 different case type options same as data, upper case, lower case, and title case.

  • Same as data allows you to keep word style same as data.

  • Upper case will display all of the words in capital letters.

  • Lower case will display them in lower case letters.

  • Title case will capitalize the first letter of each word, as you would see in a book title or headline.

Note: Any changes over here won’t affect the source data.

Note: For the better rendering of visuals select upper case, lower case, or title case options.

Styling

Styling provides you with different options Bold, Italic, and Underline. You can use all of them at once or use them separately.
